Lumael is the first explored slice of Veyra: one connected watershed descending from the Upper Lake to the ocean.
The watershed
Water moves south from the Upper Lake, spills over Veilfall, fills Lumael Cove, and reaches the ocean through the Southern Tidal Narrows. Gentle tidal exchange can enter the lower basin, but the Absent Moon contributes no lunar tide.
Tideglass Sanctuary occupies the cove's western shore. Avenor stands farther north and east, on the Upper Lake's eastern shore. The region is a watershed and sheltered tidal lagoon—not a caldera.
Light without an ordinary day
Because Veyra rotates in step with its sun, Lumael's sun remains near the horizon. Permanent-but-breathing twilight changes through bounded libration, weather, ocean mist, heat, and atmospheric pigment instead of an Earthlike sunrise-to-night cycle.
The celebrated composition of the Absent Moon above Veilfall recurs, but is not continuous. It is an alignment, not a fixed emblem pasted onto the northern sky.
A region people inhabit
Lumael is not only a scenic basin. Guests recover and learn at Tideglass, caretakers work within Veilfall's spray, and the dense public life of Avenor occupies the Upper Lake's eastern shore. Paths, instruments, gardens, transit, and water management make the region visibly maintained without making nature subordinate to architecture.
The illustrated Atlas records the strongest current relationships, not every settlement or path. It gives the player a dependable first geography while leaving room for later lore to revise names, distances, and local histories without breaking the watershed that makes the region intelligible.
